It is an Italian car manufacturer. The company was founded by
manufacturing magnate Ferruccio Lamborghini in 1963, with the
objective of producing a refined grand touring
car to compete with established offerings from marques such as Ferrari.

The Countach, then the most
popular and successful Lamborghini in history, was in production from 1974 to
1988.
